Vicente G. Sy
President
A former Palarong Pambansa standout, NCR Palaro Most Outstanding Athlete and 2-time Milo Little Olympics Most Outstanding Athlete, Vicente was one of the most-sought after high school athletes and was later on recruited to study and compete for De La Salle University (DLSU) – Manila Track and Field team.
UAAP medals in 400m dash and relays are just few of the achievements tucked under his belt. He has also set UAAP and UNIGAMES record in 4x400m and Classical relays. He still also holds the Chinese Meet 400m record. Most noteworthy however is that he is a member of the DLSU Track & Field Team’s only UAAP Championship so far which they won in 2004.
A graduate of Management of Financial Institution at DLSU – Manila, Vicente now works as the President of the Hua Yang Electronics, one of the largest electronics distributor in the country.
Djundi B. Binas
VP – Operations / Training & Sports Development
Djundi is one of the all-time best pole vaulter in the Philippines. A member of the Philippine National Team in 2005 to 2008, he has won numerous local and international pole vault titles.
He competed for Adamson University (AdU)Track and Field Team where he won a title in the grueling Decathlon event. He also set a new CHED Palaro Pole Vault record in 2002.
He has a total of 7 years experience in sports and fitness industry from being a sports teacher and coach, to a fitness professional.
Djundi earned his BSE – Physical Education degree from Adamson University, where his also a Sports Hall of Fame awardee.
Ralph Waldy J. Soguilon
VP – Business Development
Dubbed as the Philippines’ Fastest Man, Ralph holds the record for the fastest Filipino ever who have ran the 100m and 200m dash. Likewise, he is a member of the record-breaking 4x100m relay national team which won silver medal in the 23rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
The national sprint king broke the long time 45-year-old national record of 100m and reset it thrice in 2007. Moreover, Ralph duplicated this feat by also shattering the 23-year-old record of the legendary Isidro Del Prado in 200m. As a collegiate athlete, he holds the distinction to be a five-time and undefeated 100m champion in UAAP. Not only that, he totally dominates the UAAP sprint events by being a 4-time and 3-time 200m & 400m champion, respectively. He still holds all the records for these events and including the 4x400m relay.
This 3-time DLSAA LaSallian Sports Achievement Awardee led DLSU to its first-ever UAAP Track & Field Championship in 2004. A UAAP back-to-back MVP and Athlete of the Year, Ralph exemplifies a balanced student-athlete as he was also a UAAP Athlete Scholar awardee.
A licensed electronics & communications engineer, he now also works as a general manager of Wireless Link Technologies, Inc. , a wireless networking and security solutions provider company.
Benigno “Ninoy” B. Marayag
Training & Sports Development
Ninoy is a member of the Philippine National Track & Field Team since year 2005 and a national champion in Long Jump and Triple Jump. He got his breakthrough performance after winning Bronze Medal in the Long Jump during the 26th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games held at Indonesia last November 2011.
A stint as a strength and conditioning trainer of the Smart Gilas Pilipinas Basketball Team highlights his sports training professional career. Currently, he coaches the University of Santo Tomas (UST) High School Track & Field Team.
A four-time Benavides Outstanding Awardee at UST where he earned his BSE – Physical Education degree sums up a storied UAAP career. Not only that, also a 4-time Long Jump champion, Ninoy still holds the current UAAP Long Jump record after breaking the then 68-year-old previous record. An undefeated and 5-time Triple Jump champion en route to resetting the previous 28-year-old Triple Jump record of Dario De Rosas capped off his collegiate exploits which also includes a four high jump titles.
Sheena A. Atilano
Training & Sports Development
Starting her track career at a young age, Sheena would dominate national competitions, showing versatility by winning in long jump, high jump and 100m dash. She was then highly regarded to be the next big star of Philippine Track & Field.
Years later, she has lived up to the billing as she broke the 16-year-old 100m Hurdles record of Elma Muros. As a member of the Philippine National Track & Field Team, she has brought accolades to the country after winning in several international competitions.
An alumnus of University of Saint La Salle (USLS) – Bacolod, Sheena pursued post-graduate studies at De La Salle University (DLSU) – Manila and instantly became a UAAP star after winning 100m Hurdles, High Jump and 4x100m relay titles.
Sheena now returns the favor to her Alma Mater as a trainer of DLSU – Manila Track & Field Team.
Lawrence Macalinao
VP – Marketing
This pure green-blooded track star is one of the most hardworking athlete that has come out of the De La Salle University (DLSU) – Manila Track and Field team. Lawrence owns the distinction to be La Salle’s all-time #1 800m runner.
Also a former team captain of La Salle Track & Field team, Lawrence rose from the ranks of an average athlete to one of UAAP’s best as he won several track medals throughout his collegiate career.
He now works as a Assistant Sales Manager with Megaworld Corporation after earning his Philippine Mass Media degree in DLSU – Manila. Deciding to pursue further studies, he is also currently taking up MA in Media, Language & Culture at La Salle.
Edmar M. Dionson
Marketing Manager
One of the great leaders that walked in at the De La Salle University (DLSU) – Manila Track and Field Team, Edmar became a team captain of the Taft-based squad and a former vice-president of the DLSU Running Club.
He earned his BS Computer Engineering degree from La Salle while competing for its track team in the pole vault event. He currently works for Telus International Philippines, a subsidiary of a telecom company in Canada.
